Best multiple purpose shell for everything

I just purchased my second one of these. We are headed to Europe and with the spring weather there, I need something flexible enough to roll up in a backpack and then unroll in a pinch when the wind or weather turns for the worse. That's this shell! My wife, purchased my first one, almost a decade a go. As a long distance runner, I needed something light but warming on my long runs. I've have run in it when the temperatures range from the high 20's to the high 40's. It works will on cold days, as I start with a short sleeve T, then a heavier long sleeve with this shell as the last protection. It's perfect for runners. The other thing I like is, it goes well with jeans. You might want to wash it first but don't worry. Follow their instructions for cleaning and you will have a great light jacket for that cool night or that freezing resteruant. That is how versitile it is. And by the way, I'm not throwing my first one of these out! After nine plus years I will say it began to show some wear. With all the miles I logged, hikes, walks, and every day wear, I think I got a good deal. You will too if you buy this. One more thing. I am 5'7" 177 lbs. The medium was too small for me and the large is perfect.
